Description
Otterbein University is hiring a full-time, non-exempt union Maintenance Technician for its Facilities Services department. The role performs first-response and emergency maintenance on mechanical, plumbing, electrical, telephone, and carpentry systems; conducts preventative maintenance; troubleshoots and repairs building equipment; maintains records and inventory; and may serve as an emergency employee for snow removal and other events. The position works second shift from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, and includes limited supervision of unskilled labor and student workers. A high school diploma or GED, five years of related experience or equivalent education and experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work in varied campus environments are required.
