The Shipyard Maintenance Technician performs electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and preventative maintenance on shipyard equipment, including cranes, transformers, motors, lighting, wiring, and manufacturing machinery. The role requires reading blueprints and technical manuals, using electrical and mechanical test equipment, troubleshooting rotating machinery, and working on second-shift rotation in an industrial shipyard environment. A high school diploma or GED, experience with hydraulic systems and CNC or robotic machinery, and arc-flash training are listed, with knowledge of outdoor cranes and European electrical diagrams preferred.
