Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing general building maintenance service requests for SMOC properties, including electrical, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, painting, appliance upkeep, and basic repairs. The role also handles vacant-room turnovers, building-system monitoring, work orders, external property work, tenant communication, safety compliance, and special projects. It requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid Massachusetts driver’s license, reliable transportation, housing or facility maintenance experience, independent work, schedule flexibility, on-call availability, and basic hand- and power-tool skills. The position works Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break, and requires 40 hours per week.
