Description
Durham School Services is hiring a Fleet Technician to support its school bus fleet by performing advanced diagnostics, inspections, preventive maintenance, DOT/state inspections, DVIR readiness, and repairs across braking, steering, suspension, electrical, HVAC, drivetrain, transmission, and engine systems. The role includes mobile road calls, safety inspections, maintenance-system logging, and coordination with the Lead Technician or Maintenance Supervisor. Applicants need at least five years of medium/heavy truck fleet mechanic repair experience, diagnostic and diesel-system knowledge, a high school education or equivalent, and a valid applicable state license; CDL and ASE certification are preferred or supported through training.
