Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing general building maintenance service requests across SMOC properties, including electrical, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, painting, appliance upkeep, and basic repairs. The role also handles turnover, building-system monitoring, work orders, external property work, tenant communication, safety compliance, and special projects. It requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid Massachusetts driver’s license, reliable transportation, housing or facility maintenance experience, independent work, schedule flexibility, on-call availability, and basic hand- and power-tool competence. The position works Wednesday through Sunday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM for 37.5 hours per week, requires travel with a personal vehicle, and includes on-call rotation.
