Description
Under general supervision, the technologist operates dedicated mammography radiographic equipment to obtain diagnostic breast imaging, positions patients carefully, critiques images and takes additional views as needed, and participates in scheduling screening, follow-up, biopsy, and diagnostic breast imaging procedures. The role also requires compliance with HIPAA and applicable regional, medical center, departmental, State of California, MQSA, ARRT, and CRT requirements, including continuing education and continuing experience standards.
