Description
The Mammography Technologist performs radiological procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in a high-volume outpatient setting, produces high-quality radiographic images, interacts with patients, and conducts quality-control activities required by the Mammography Quality Standards Act and the FDA. The role may also use general radiography skills depending on location. Required qualifications include ARRT-registered radiologic technology training, Washington Radiologic Technologist status, National Provider BLS certification, and National Registered Technologist - Radiography certification; National Registered Technologist - Mammography certification must be obtained within one year of hire. Two years of full-time mammography experience is preferred.
