Description
The Assistant Director leads the Remediation Review division of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, coordinating engineering, administrative, fiscal, environmental, and scientific activities; providing executive guidance and policy direction; overseeing inspections, remedial action permits, regulatory compliance, and coordination with regulated communities and Licensed Site Remediation Professionals; and managing the Rule Committee and Training Committee. The role is based in Trenton, New Jersey, offers a 35-hour work week, and pays $161,742.29–$163,708.84. Applicants must meet one of four education-and-experience pathways, including a professional engineer license or a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate degree in a relevant science or engineering field, along with the specified years of professional and managerial experience.
