UBC is hiring a Manager, Applied AI Science to lead and mentor a small team of Applied AI Scientists while contributing hands-on technical work. The role focuses on designing, developing, evaluating, and improving reusable AI capabilities for healthcare and drug-development applications, including machine learning, large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, AI agents, Python implementation, statistical evaluation, and workflow integration. The position requires healthcare or CRO experience, familiarity with regulated-system expectations, and 5+ years of applied AI or machine learning experience.
