Description

RSM's Finance as a Service (FaaS) practice is seeking a Manager-level professional to serve state and local governments. This role involves managing various accounting activities, including month-end close, financial reporting, year-end audit support, and budget forecasting. The manager will interact extensively with clients and collaborate within a team-based environment, focusing on delivering exceptional value to local governments.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Progressive experience in accounting and financial management in a corporate accounting environment, in roles such as accounting manager, assistant controller, controller, director of finance CFO.
Strong technical financial accounting (GAAP) and GASB knowledge
Strong management accounting and operational finance knowledge
Experience in the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function (financial modeling, budgeting and forecasting, financial analysis, etc.)
Proven leadership, management and coaching skills
Strong time-management and organizational skills with sensitivity to timeframes, budgets, and outcomes across multiple clients/projects.
Experience with automated accounting systems
Preferred Qualifications: CPA is required
Experience in a public accounting firm, consulting firm or other professional services environment preferred but not required
