Description

Sutter Health is hiring a Principal Cloud Architect to lead cloud platform architecture, Microsoft 365, and infrastructure engineering across its Valley system. The role provides technical and people leadership for secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective technology platforms; leads infrastructure modernization, automation, governance, and operational excellence; and partners with business, security, finance, architecture, and engineering teams. The position requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, eight years of recent relevant experience, and is full-time, days-only, with as-needed weekend requirements.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience may be accepted in lieu of the degree or diploma.
Required Previous Experiences: 8 years of recent relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications: Experience designing, implementing, and managing public cloud, hybrid cloud, and Microsoft 365 environments.
Knowledge of architectural standards, reference architectures, governance frameworks, and engineering best practices.
Experience leading infrastructure modernization initiatives involving automation, Infrastructure-as-Code, platform engineering, and cloud-native technologies.
Experience leading and supporting Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform, and identity management integrations.
Experience developing governance frameworks for collaboration platforms, data protection, information lifecycle management, external sharing, and AI-enabled technologies.
