Description
The Cloud FinOps Engineer is an IT and cloud engineering role responsible for enabling cost-efficient, scalable, and well-governed cloud usage across AWS, Azure, and GCP. The position applies FinOps principles through technology, automation, and platform design, building and operating cost observability, tagging, anomaly detection, optimization, reporting, and automated controls. It partners with SRE, Platform Engineering, Security, Network, Application, Finance, and other teams to translate cloud usage and architectural decisions into actionable insights and engineering-led best practices. The role requires a bachelor’s degree, 4–5+ years of relevant experience, Python, cloud and cost-analysis skills, and the ability to independently deliver moderately complex technical solutions.
