Capital One is hiring a Manager, Data Scientist for its Commercial Business Analysis and Data Insights and Analytics team. The role partners with business leaders, data scientists, business analysts, and relationship managers to build and validate machine learning models, conduct statistical analysis and back-testing, modernize data infrastructure, and support underwriting automation, risk, and portfolio management. Candidates need a quantitative degree plus data analytics experience, open-source programming experience, machine learning experience, and relational database experience; AWS, Python, Scala, R, embeddings, and SQL experience are preferred. The position is eligible for employment authorization sponsorship and offers full-time annual salaries of $197,300–$225,100 in McLean, Virginia, and $215,200–$245,600 in New York, New York.
