Navan is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead a team of 5–10 full-stack engineers building configuration tools, admin and user portals, and scalable backend engines for its enterprise travel platform. The role combines technical leadership across Java/Spring Boot, React/TypeScript, SQL/NoSQL, and microservices with people management, project delivery, hiring, onboarding, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. Candidates need 8+ years of software engineering experience, at least 2 years of direct engineering management experience, strong architectural and technical leadership skills, and a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
