Databricks is hiring a Manager, Forward Deployed Engineering in Tokyo to lead and grow a team of approximately 10 customer-facing engineers delivering data engineering and AI solutions. The role combines hands-on technical leadership with people management, including hiring, mentoring, architecture reviews, production issue resolution, customer engagement, delivery strategy, and cross-functional coordination. Candidates need experience leading technical teams, strong data engineering and production platform expertise, Python and SQL fluency, cloud platform experience, and fluent Japanese with business-level English.
