Description

AWS Trainium is hiring a Hardware Engineering Manager to lead the development, implementation, reliability, and lifecycle management of accelerated GPU and server hardware for AWS. The role manages hardware engineers, ODMs, and internal stakeholders; owns system design, validation, integration, defect prevention, and production flow; and collaborates with monitoring, silicon, firmware, and software teams. Candidates need extensive hardware and software engineering experience, team-management experience, and a degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering. The position is based in Austin, Texas, with a base salary of 175,100 to 236,900 USD annually.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
Required Previous Experiences: At least 3 years of engineering team management experience
At least 8 years of high-speed design, validation, and schematic and layout experience
ODM hardware development, testing, and production flow definition
Hands-on high-volume enterprise server design, development, and operational support
System-level analysis and debugging
Ownership and delivery in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications: Experience engaging and influencing senior executives
Strong analytical, attention-to-detail, and communication skills
Experience managing hardware and software or systems development teams
End-to-end server hardware development lifecycle leadership
