Thiess is hiring a Health, Safety, Environment & Training Manager for its Caval Ridge Project in the Bowen Basin, Moranbah. The role is based on-site on a 5/2, 4/3 day-shift roster and reports to the Project Manager. Responsibilities include leading safety and environmental strategies, developing and delivering HSET programs, managing a team of health, safety and training professionals, overseeing budgets and project deadlines, and supporting hazard identification, risk management, incident investigation, monitoring, and reporting. The position requires senior-level health and safety experience, relevant tertiary qualifications, open-pit mining experience, and knowledge of Queensland occupational health and safety legislation.
