Structured thinking to intake and prioritization, comfortable making and defending recommendations on what the team works on, in what order, and why.
Ability to operate effectively as a strategic thought partner to senior leadership, contributing beyond execution to roadmap vision and organizational direction.
Clarity, confidence, and purpose in communication, adapting appropriately for technical and non-technical audiences.
Curiosity and forward-thinking attitude, actively exploring how emerging tools, AI capabilities, and modern data engineering practices can elevate the team's impact.
Preferred Qualifications: 5-7+ years of experience in data management, analytics, business intelligence, or related data environments.
2+ years of people leadership experience, with demonstrated success leading, coaching, and developing technical teams.
Strong technical foundation in dimensional modeling, SQL, and Business Intelligence tools (Power BI or equivalent); hands-on experience with Python or scripting languages strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to manage intake and prioritization across multiple stakeholder groups, with strong judgment on business value, organizational impact, and team capacity.
Proven ability to translate vague or business-facing requests into well-scoped, technically actionable work.
Experience with data quality practices, metadata management, lineage, and governance principles.
Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS) and modern data pipeline practices.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across both technical and non-technical audiences.
