Description
Amazon Web Services is hiring a Manager III, Software Development to lead a team of 6–10 software development engineers within the Elastic Container Service (ECS) organization in Seattle, Washington. The role owns end-to-end delivery of ECS features and service improvements, sets team goals, hires and develops engineers, manages performance and career growth, ensures engineering quality and reliability, and collaborates with cross-site engineering teams. The position requires at least three years of engineering team management experience, five years of engineering experience, a bachelor's degree or equivalent, and experience with complex production software solutions and technical recruiting. Preferred qualifications include AWS container and cloud infrastructure experience, familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS, and experience operating highly available services at scale. The base salary is 184,900–250,200 USD annually, with additional compensation and benefits.
