Description
Amazon is hiring a Software Development Manager to lead a team of engineers through the full software lifecycle, from design and architecture through deployment and operations. The role owns the team's technical vision and 1–2 year strategy, makes architectural decisions, coaches engineers, partners with product and other engineering teams, and establishes operational metrics. Candidates need at least three years of engineering team management experience, seven years of engineering experience, and eight years leading multi-tier web services, along with knowledge of software development practices and experience partnering with product or program management teams. The position is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, with a base salary of CAD 171,400–286,200 annually and medical, dental, vision, prescription, life, and AD&D insurance benefits.
