Description
The Mechanical Engineering Lead establishes short-term operational plans and provides technical leadership to Wescam’s Mechanical Engineering team. The role owns mechanical design integrity, leads conceptual, detailed, and validation design activities, manages design processes and standards, estimates and monitors work packages, sources external resources, supports other departments, and leads NPI projects. It requires a bachelor’s degree with at least nine years of related experience, or a graduate degree with at least seven years, or thirteen years of experience without a degree, along with opto-mechanical, manufacturing, CAD, and FEA/CFD capabilities. The position offers a base salary of CAD C$126,500 to C$176,500 and does not require a security clearance or visa sponsorship.
