Description

OpenLoop is hiring a Manager, Payer Contracting to own the strategy, negotiation, implementation, renewal, and ongoing management of its payer contracting portfolio. The role will map contracts across entities and markets, determine group versus individual contracting approaches, lead negotiations with national and regional payers, use reimbursement and financial data to support contract terms, coordinate with revenue cycle, enrollment, finance, clinical operations, compliance, and legal teams, and establish scalable contracting processes. The position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and at least six years of progressive payer, managed care, or provider contracting experience.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
Required Previous Experiences: 6+ years of progressive experience in payer, managed care, or provider contracting
Significant experience negotiating payer contracts from the provider side
Experience managing contracts across multiple payers, entities, markets, or states
Experience evaluating financial and operational data for payer negotiations
Experience partnering with revenue cycle, enrollment, finance, coding, clinical operations, and other stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working within both a payer and provider organization
Experience leading payer contracting for a national healthcare or multi-state provider organization
Experience with value-based contracting or alternative reimbursement arrangements
Experience consolidating or restructuring payer agreements following acquisitions or organizational growth
Familiarity with provider enrollment and credentialing platforms
Familiarity with payer portals, billing systems, contract management tools, and workflow platforms
