Manager, Process Engineering - Assembly at Commonwealth Fusion Systems

Commonwealth Fusion Systems is hiring a Manager, Process Engineering - Assembly to lead 8–15 process engineers responsible for developing, releasing, and implementing engineering work instructions for the SPARC Tokamak build. The role manages workflows, planning tools, mechanical assembly standards, talent, performance expectations, technical conflicts, and design feedback, while also supporting hands-on assembly operations. It requires a civil, structural, mechanical, or aerospace engineering bachelor's degree, at least 7 years of mechanical engineering experience, and 2+ years managing an engineering team or large-scale project. The position is onsite five days per week during relevant assembly operations, with occasional travel and exposure to industrial hazards.
