Description
Choice Hotels is hiring a Manager, Semantic Layer Engineering to build and maintain an enterprise semantic layer that governs business metrics used by dashboards, operational systems, data science, and AI agents. The role owns metric definitions, SQL and Redshift query logic, version control, CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, lineage, certification, governance, and integration with Tableau and data catalogs. It directly manages one direct report, collaborates with product and analytics teams, and reports to the Senior Director, Data Delivery and Enterprise Governance. The position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, at least five years of analytics engineering, data engineering, or BI experience, strong SQL and semantic-layer tooling skills, and production data-quality experience. The salary range is $123,600 to $145,400 annually, with an annual bonus and medical, dental, and vision coverage.
