Viant is hiring a Hands-On Engineering Manager to lead a team of backend engineers building low-latency, high-throughput ad technology systems. The role involves overseeing feature development for the bidding server, architecture and design, code quality, performance optimization, and engineering team coaching. It requires strong Go or Java backend experience, microservices and serverless architecture knowledge, database systems expertise, and experience with large-scale distributed systems. The position offers fully paid health insurance, paid parental leave, unlimited PTO, and a base compensation range of $150,000 to $200,000.
