Northrop Grumman is hiring a Software Functional Manager for the MDC2 family of programs in Melbourne, Florida. The role combines approximately 15% to 20% functional management of a 10- to 15-person engineering team with 80% to 85% direct technical software development work, including C++ and embedded systems, software design, implementation, testing, requirements, and program reviews. The position requires a relevant STEM degree, extensive software engineering and safety-critical systems experience, aviation software certification knowledge, and the ability to obtain a U.S. government secret clearance and a special program access clearance. The primary salary range is $139,100 to $208,700, with potential overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, and benefits.
