Snap Inc. is hiring a Software Engineering Manager to lead and mentor a team of developers in a fast-paced, quick-to-market environment. The role involves setting engineering strategy and roadmaps, collaborating with Product, Operations, Data Science, and executive stakeholders, evaluating technical tradeoffs, hiring and retaining developers, and using AI tools and high-velocity workflows to design and ship scalable services. Candidates need a relevant technical bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, extensive post-degree software development experience, distributed systems and web development experience, and at least one year managing a team or acting as a technical lead. The position follows a default-together policy requiring office attendance four or more days per week and offers base salaries ranging from $195,000 to $343,000 annually depending on the pay zone, plus RSU equity.
