Cengage is hiring a Software Engineering Manager to lead and grow an engineering team focused on automating content creation workflows, developing AI-powered tools, and delivering scalable enterprise solutions. The role partners with product, design, engineering, and customer teams; manages end-to-end delivery and product backlogs; and balances new development with technical debt and maintenance. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, at least three years of technology leadership experience, and expertise in generative AI, cloud-native architecture, APIs, agile delivery, and distributed collaboration.
