The Manager Trainee position under general supervision involves learning to manage a small driver count and/or non-traditional shifts, ensuring safe and timely freight movement, load assignment, and providing exceptional customer service. Key responsibilities include building relationships with drivers and carriers, filling in for absent personnel, utilizing personnel management, maximizing fleet efficiency, gaining knowledge in inventory and asset management, performing administrative duties like payroll and financial reporting, managing yard operations, resolving service issues, maintaining safety culture, and assigning loads.
