Applied Materials is hiring a full-time Principal Engineer, Electrochemical Process Engineering, in Billerica, Massachusetts. The role leads engineers and scientists developing and testing novel subsystems for electrochemical processing in semiconductor equipment, including electroplating, etching, rinsing, and drying. Responsibilities include experimental and computer modeling development, hardware and automation subsystem design, process requirements coordination, reliability testing, and intellectual property work. The position requires a PhD in a relevant field, at least 10 years of semiconductor equipment experience, leadership experience, and multi-physics simulation expertise; electroplating experience is preferred. The role offers a salary of $156,000 to $214,500, includes travel of approximately 10%, and is eligible for relocation.
