Description

Exponent is seeking a Managing Scientist specializing in Water Resources, Agricultural, or Nutrient Management for their Ecological and Biological Sciences Practice. The role involves strategic business development, client networking, and providing technical support on existing projects. Responsibilities include analyzing water resources and land-use activities, directing analyses, preparing regulatory documents, synthesizing technical information, and publishing peer-reviewed articles. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in a relevant field, at least five years of professional experience with three years of direct consulting, and expert-level knowledge in agricultural science, soil science, crop and livestock management, water resources, pest management, and nutrient management.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Five years of professional experience.
Three years of direct consulting experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Understanding of federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations pertinent to agriculture, water quality, and related environmental sciences, including USDA, ESA, NEPA, and Clean Water Act in the U.S. and similar laws and regulations in other countries.
Experience in addressing domestic animals, including cattle, swine, fowl, and aquaculture.
Experience in addressing both proactive and litigation-related matters.
