Description

PerkinElmer is hiring a full-time Manufacturing & Tech Ops Process Engineer III/Lead Process Engineer for Project Farma. The role serves as an Owner’s Representative overseeing pharmaceutical and biotechnology capital projects, including facility planning, design, construction, commissioning, qualification, and process engineering deliverables. The engineer provides technical leadership to Architecture & Engineering firms, reviews PFDs, P&IDs, equipment specifications, utilities, and process designs, supports GMP and regulatory requirements, and coordinates with multidisciplinary project teams. The position is based at customer sites or in California, requires approximately 5–10 years of relevant life-sciences engineering experience, and offers an annual base salary of $74,000 to $113,000.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Life Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience in capital project engineering, pharma cGMP facility start-up, CapEx/OpEx project management, or comparable military experience.
Required Previous Experiences: Approximately 5–10 years of relevant pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life-sciences engineering experience.
Experience with pharmaceutical or biotechnology facility design, process engineering, or capital project execution.
Experience working with or managing Architecture & Engineering firms and/or engineering contractors.
Experience functioning effectively as an Owner’s Representative.
Experience developing or reviewing PFDs, P&IDs, equipment specifications, layouts, process descriptions, and utility requirements.

Familiarity with FDA and EU GMP expectations for pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities
Experience working on international projects and with globally distributed engineering teams
