Description
1X is hiring an Electromechanical Manufacturing Engineer to build manufacturing systems for humanoid robots from prototype through production ramp. The role owns electromechanical processes for PCBAs, harnesses, sensors, actuators, and integration; develops functional and end-of-line test systems; designs fixtures, tooling, assembly methods, and production stations; and improves yield, cycle time, OEE, and cost through data-driven root-cause and corrective actions. The engineer will also influence product design through DFM, DFA, and DFT. The position requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant engineering field, 5+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 3+ years with a master’s degree, and hands-on experience with electrical hardware, mechanical assembly, hardware bring-up, and testing. Compensation is $148,000–$181,000, with medical, dental, vision, paid time off, parental leave, and retirement benefits.
