Description
ABB is hiring an onsite Manufacturing Engineer for its Critical Power team at the Napier facility. The role reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and focuses on designing, modifying, and optimizing mechanical components and systems; creating and managing 3D models, schematics, BOMs, and assembly procedures; supporting engineering changes and new product development; and collaborating with R&D, Agile, Quality, and Production teams. Candidates need a mechanical engineering degree or equivalent experience, Solidworks or similar 3D modeling and 2D drafting skills, at least three years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience, and knowledge of DFA/DFM, ERP systems, and manufacturing processes. Experience with product lifecycle management, power electronics, or new product development is desirable.
