Description
The Manufacturing Engineer plans and creates manufacturing processes in an industrial setting, improving production methods, assessing capacity, establishing timetables, and supporting machining, metal forming, plastics processing, welding, brazing, assembly, and material handling. The role also develops manufacturing techniques, analyzes workforce and workspace efficiency, coordinates with vendors and design teams, estimates production costs and staffing, applies statistical forecasting, and supports less experienced engineers. It requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field or 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office, 2D CAD, and solid modeling, and experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment; PLC experience is preferred. The position reports to the Plant Manager and works in a manufacturing environment in Leesburg, Florida.
