Description
The Manufacturing Engineer plans, directs, and coordinates technical support for manufacturing processes. Responsibilities include evaluating vendor products, estimating production times and staffing costs, coordinating with management and engineering teams, applying statistical methods to forecast manufacturing requirements, leading capital and non-capital cost-reduction projects, and supporting 5-S, Kaizen, Koyo Production System, TSI6949, and ISO14000 initiatives. The role assumes leadership when the Engineering Supervisor is absent and requires a science or engineering degree with related experience, or an alternative education/experience pathway, along with occasional travel and exposure to manufacturing areas.
