Description
The Manufacturing Engineer at Trust Automation designs and implements product realization processes from prototype to volume manufacturing, continuously analyzing and improving them to enhance product quality, ensure operator safety, and reduce labor and costs. Key responsibilities include supporting program managers, designing assembly and test tooling, establishing value stream maps, collaborating with engineering teams for DFM/DFA, managing procurement and inventory, serving as a supplier contact, assisting in production plan creation, training team members, performing hands-on assembly/testing, focusing on continuous improvements post-release, identifying opportunities for labor transfer to contract manufacturers, mitigating OTD impediments, engaging suppliers for cost savings, recommending disposition for failed components, leading rapid-response teams, and implementing AS9100 processes like CA, CI, ECO, and DCO.
