Description
Wabtec is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and improve manufacturing processes in a low-volume, high-mix plant environment. The role focuses on Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, waste reduction, process variation reduction, line balancing, workflow and material-flow design, root-cause analysis, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, purchasing, suppliers, and production teams. The engineer will report to the Operations Manager, lead projects independently, and work in a factory and office setting with occasional physical lifting and exposure to fumes or airborne particles. A BS degree in a relevant engineering or manufacturing technology discipline and 3–5+ years of manufacturing experience are required, while 2–3 years of Lean experience is preferred. The disclosed base salary is $62,100–$85,300.
