Description
Wabtec is hiring an Automation Engineer to lead the development and implementation of advanced manufacturing techniques and automation solutions supporting Design for Manufacturing. The role involves designing, building, testing, and integrating electro-mechanical systems, tooling, CNC and metalworking equipment, PLCs, sensors, motion systems, and automated systems; improving manufacturing processes, cost and efficiency; managing equipment and capital projects; and driving Lean continuous improvement. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, at least seven years of industrial manufacturing experience, and experience with manufacturing tooling, automation, metrology, and related technologies. The base pay range is $79,100–$112,800, with health, welfare, retirement, and possible annual bonus benefits.
