1X is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to build manufacturing systems for humanoid robot hands, owning processes from prototype through production ramp. The role develops machining, assembly, inspection, validation, tooling, fixtures, gauges, and stations; improves yield, cycle time, throughput, and cost; and drives root-cause corrective actions. Candidates need a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant engineering field, 5+ years of manufacturing experience with a bachelor’s or 3+ years with a master’s, precision-assembly experience, and proficiency with CAD, GD&T, tolerance analysis, tooling, DFM/DFA, and statistical process validation. The compensation range is $148,000–$181,000, with medical, dental, vision, retirement, leave, and other benefits.
