1X is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to own the development, qualification, and sustainment of assembly and test processes for its complex robotic hands. The role involves prototyping floor methods, running experiments, using DOE, SPC, MSA/GR&R, capability studies, root-cause analysis, and DFM/DFA/DFT to improve yield, cycle time, OEE, and cost while establishing controlled production systems. Candidates need a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant engineering field, 5+ years of manufacturing experience with a bachelor’s or 3+ years with a master’s, and hands-on experience with complex electromechanical assembly processes. The compensation range is $148,000–$181,000, with medical, dental, vision, retirement, leave, and other benefits.
