Description
Apple is hiring a Battery Quality and Reliability Engineer to develop reliability tests, perform failure analysis, monitor field failure rates, establish process and part specifications, manage supplier quality, and support battery new-product-introduction and manufacturing quality. The role includes metrology equipment development, statistical analysis, validation testing, yield-gap analysis, and collaboration with engineering, design, operations, manufacturing, and external vendors. It requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, extensive experience with DOE, failure analysis, metrology, statistical tools, and battery manufacturing equipment, and involves 40 hours per week with 30% international and domestic travel.
