Description
The Thin Film Coating Operator operates and maintains thin-film coating and characterization/test equipment in a demanding production environment. Responsibilities include setting up evaporation chambers, preparing materials, monitoring coating runs, extracting and documenting data, performing quality checks, supporting peers and new employees, maintaining inventory and minor equipment maintenance, and participating in quality meetings. The role requires a high school education or equivalent, manufacturing experience is preferred, and the operator must work with acids, radioactive materials, and other toxic chemicals while meeting physical and safety requirements.
