Description
Samtec, Inc. is hiring a Manufacturing Tooling Engineer to design and develop automation, manual tooling, and fixtures for volume production, then support their integration into production. The role uses SolidWorks to design mechanical elements, manages project schedules, specifications, supplier evaluation, budgets, compliance, changes, and fabrication costs, and collaborates with applications engineering and cross-functional teams. It requires 3–5 years of relevant experience in areas such as automation machine design, design for manufacturing, machine tools, precision tooling, or machine control systems; project management experience is preferred. A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechanical engineering technology, or manufacturing engineering is required, or equivalent work experience.
