Description
The Maritime Security Officer reports to the Security Supervisor and provides security services to the Duluth Seaway Port Authority. Responsibilities include roving foot patrols, escorts, maritime access control, TWIC-card verification, access-control logging, inspections, guard-desk monitoring, CCTV and alarm monitoring, emergency communications, traffic control, and compliance with security policies and federal and state regulations. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, English proficiency, U.S. work authorization, background and drug-screen clearance, basic computer and communication skills, successful completion of GSSC Basic Training, and a TWIC card or ability to obtain one within one month.
