Hearst Television is hiring a Broadcast Master Control Operator for WXII/WCWG in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The role oversees broadcast automation, monitors multiple air channels, coordinates live and recorded programming, maintains regulatory compliance and signal integrity, edits playlists, ingests content, and documents transmission events. The operator will also work at least one shift weekly as a Production Assistant in the Newsroom, operating cameras, teleprompters, audio boards, graphics, and video equipment, assisting directors, and supporting newscast production. The posting requires at least one year of experience with computer, email, software, and web applications, prior exposure to television station operations and newscast production, and knowledge of on-air graphics systems; master control experience is preferred and training will be offered.
