KCCI, the CBS affiliate in Des Moines, Iowa, is hiring a Master Control Operator to oversee broadcast equipment and on-air program streams. The role coordinates live and recorded programming, monitors multiple channels for regulatory compliance and signal integrity, operates broadcast automation equipment, prepares and edits playlists, ingests commercials and programs, maintains logs, and reports equipment or transmission issues. The operator reports to the Director of Engineering and requires at least one year of experience with computer, email, software, and web applications, plus prior exposure to television station operations and newscast production.
