Description
WAPT is hiring a Broadcast Master Control Operator to oversee broadcast equipment and on-air program streams. The role coordinates live and recorded programming, runs commercials and network and local content, monitors multiple channels for regulatory compliance and signal integrity, operates broadcast automation equipment, follows FCC and EAS procedures, observes transmitters, maintains logs, edits playlists, acquires content, and reports equipment or transmission issues. The position reports to the Engineering Director, requires at least one year of computer, email, software, and web application experience, prior television station operations and newscast production exposure, and in-person attendance.
