Description
The Materials Engineer analyzes, researches, designs, and develops materials and their fabrication and application processes for engineering structures, systems, and subsystems. The role applies chemistry, physics, and material behavior to develop metallic, non-metallic, and composite material specifications, processing and assembly procedures, quality engineering specifications, failure analyses, life predictions, and material requirements. It may review subcontractor material processing procedures and requires a second-shift schedule from 2:00 p.m. to midnight, Tuesday through Friday. The position requires a relevant bachelor's degree, U.S. citizenship or work authorization, and an active Secret Clearance, with a full-time salary range of $70,500 to $130,900 and medical, dental, vision, and other benefits.
