Entegris is hiring a Polymer Characterization Scientist for its Materials Solutions Division R&D team at the Aurora facility in the Greater Chicago Area. The role develops and standardizes mechanical and rheological testing methods for CMP pad materials, correlates material properties to performance, supports DOE-based studies and predictive modeling, and collaborates with formulation, process, manufacturing, and external partners. Candidates need a PhD in polymer science, materials science, or a related field, at least three years of post-graduate industry experience in polymer characterization, mechanical testing, and rheology, and hands-on experience with thermal-mechanical, rheometer, tensile, fatigue, compression, and flexural testing. The position offers a base salary of $114,000–$144,000 and health, dental, and vision insurance.
